Description
The Garland Thaid is a predatory marine gastropod, characterized by its robust, fusiform shell. It typically exhibits a reddish-brown to orange-brown background color, adorned with irregular, creamy white or pale tan axial blotches. The shell surface is sculptured with prominent axial ribs that are crossed by spiral cords, creating a nodulose or cancellate texture, particularly noticeable on the shoulder. The spire is moderately elevated and pointed, leading to a large body whorl. The aperture is ovate, and the siphonal canal is relatively short. The interior of the aperture is usually pale cream to yellowish.
