Description
The Granular Limpet (*Patella granulata*) is a medium-sized, conical gastropod shell with a distinctive granular texture. The exterior is typically mottled brown to dark brown, often with lighter radial ribs adorned with numerous small, white, bead-like granules or tubercles, giving it its 'granular' appearance. The shell's base is oval, and the margin is crenulated, reflecting the external ribbing. The interior surface is smooth, predominantly white or pale blue-grey, with a prominent, dark brown, horseshoe-shaped muscle scar located centrally. The apex is usually slightly anterior to the center.
