Description
A medium-sized abalone shell, characterized by its oval to elongate-oval and relatively flattened shape with a very low, almost inconspicuous spire. The exterior surface is rough, dull, and often camouflaged with mottled greenish-brown to grayish-brown coloration, frequently displaying irregular darker blotches and lighter streaks. Prominent concentric growth lines and radial sculpture contribute to its textured appearance. A distinctive row of 5-7 open, raised respiratory pores (tremata) is present along the shell's left margin.
