Description

A bivalve seashell, characterized by its subtrigonal to elongated oval shape and smooth, glossy surface. The exterior displays a distinctive color pattern of reddish-brown markings on a white to cream background. These markings are often concentrated near the umbo, forming a broad band, and then radiate downwards as broken lines, dashes, or irregular spots towards the ventral margin. The interior of the shell is smooth and uniformly white or pale cream.
