Description
Leukoma pertincta, commonly known as the Pertincta Venus Clam, is a species of marine bivalve mollusc belonging to the family Veneridae. Its shell is characterized by a distinctive cancellate sculpture formed by prominent concentric growth ridges and finer radial striae. The coloration is typically light, often with striking darker patterns. It is a filter feeder found burrowing in soft substrates in intertidal and subtidal zones.
