Description

A marine bivalve shell, ovate to subtrigonal in shape, characterized by strong, elevated, and somewhat frilly concentric lamellar ribs. The exterior color is typically light tan to cream, sometimes with faint darker markings in the grooves between the ribs. The umbones are prominent. This species is a type of Venus clam.
