Description
The image displays two valves of the bivalve mollusc Meretrix morphina. These shells are robust, ovate to subtrigonal in shape, and equivalve. Their surface is relatively smooth but marked by distinct concentric growth lines. The coloration is predominantly light brown to creamy white, with irregular patches of darker reddish-brown or purplish-brown, particularly noticeable near the umbo and along some growth increments. The shells show some signs of wear and minor encrustations, typical of collected specimens.
