Description
A moderately large, thick-shelled bivalve, typically ovate to trigonal-ovate in shape with a smooth, glossy surface. The shell exhibits distinct concentric growth lines. The background color is usually creamy white, pale yellow, or light brown, adorned with characteristic reddish-brown to dark brown zigzag, wavy, or speckled patterns, often concentrated towards the umbo and forming irregular concentric bands. The interior is typically white.
