Description

A medium-sized, heavy, turbinate seashell characterized by its globose-conical shape and dark purplish-brown to blackish coloration. The shell often displays irregular, lighter whitish or grayish axial streaks and bands, particularly on the lower whorls. Its surface features fine spiral sculpture and prominent growth lines. The apex may exhibit a greenish hue, possibly due to erosion revealing underlying nacre or the characteristic green operculum.
