Description
Naquetia vokesae is a species of predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Muricidae, the murex snails. The shell is robust and appears well-camouflaged against its natural habitat of shell fragments and rubble. It exhibits a mottled coloration, blending shades of brown and reddish-brown, with a rough, sculptured surface typical of murex shells. The image shows a living specimen partially buried or resting on the seabed, with its operculum or part of its foot visible as a lighter, bluish-grey oval.
