Description
Neothais harpa is a medium-sized, heavy marine gastropod belonging to the family Muricidae. Its shell is characterized by a robust, fusiform to ovate-conical shape with a moderately elevated spire. The surface is sculptured with prominent axial ribs and spiral cords, creating a nodulose or cancellate pattern. The shell color typically ranges from brown to purplish-brown, often adorned with lighter nodules or bands. The aperture is distinctively colored, usually a deep reddish-brown or purplish-brown internally, contrasting with a white columella and outer lip, which often bears internal denticles or lirations. It is a predatory snail found in the Indo-Pacific region.
