Description

A living specimen of Notocochlis chemnitzii, a species of moon snail, observed on a sandy substrate. The shell is globose with a relatively low spire, exhibiting a smooth, polished surface. Its coloration is a pale bluish-grey to purplish-grey, adorned with distinct darker, wavy axial stripes. The apex of the spire features a prominent zigzag pattern. The soft body of the snail, partially extended and enveloping the shell, is a translucent purplish-pink, blending with the sandy environment.
