A living specimen of Oliva samarensis, commonly known as the Samar Olive, displaying its vibrant and intricately patterned mantle fully extended over its shell. The mantle exhibits a striking pattern of dark, irregular, almost black bands and blotches on a pale, creamy white background, with numerous small, pointed papillae along its edges and surface. The anterior part of the animal, including the foot and siphon, shows a reddish-brown to purplish coloration. The animal is observed on a sandy or silty substrate, characteristic of its natural habitat.
