Description

Two specimens of Ovatipsa rashleighana, commonly known as Rashleigh's Cowry, are depicted on a rocky substrate. The specimen on the left shows its vibrant, reddish-orange, papillose mantle fully extended, largely obscuring the shell's pattern. The specimen on the right has its mantle retracted, revealing the glossy, ovate shell with its characteristic white background, reddish-brown blotches, and distinct dark spots along the lower edge of the shell. These marine gastropods are known for their smooth, porcelain-like shells and often colorful, textured mantles.
