Description

A small, marine gastropod shell characterized by its fusiform to ovate-conical shape and high spire. The shell surface features prominent axial ribs and spiral cords, which often intersect to form nodules, giving it a cancellate or sculptured appearance. Its coloration typically consists of a light cream or whitish background adorned with distinctive dark brown to purplish-brown spiral bands or blotches. The aperture is ovate, leading to a short, open siphonal canal. These shells are often found with a thickened axial rib (varix) on the body whorl.
