Description
A specimen of Pterochelus duffusi, a species of predatory sea snail in the family Muricidae. The shell is characterized by its robust, fusiform shape with prominent, frilly or winged axial varices. The exterior shows a mix of white, cream, and reddish-brown coloration, with significant bio-encrustation, which is common for this species. The aperture is ovate, appearing white to cream with a hint of pinkish-brown internally, and the siphonal canal is relatively long and open.
