Description
The Rat Cone (*Conus rattus*) is a medium-sized predatory marine gastropod, characterized by its distinctive conical shell. It features a broad shoulder, a relatively low spire, and a smooth, glossy body whorl. The shell's coloration typically displays a reddish-brown to dark brown background adorned with irregular white or yellowish patches and numerous fine white dots, which can sometimes form spiral lines. This species is a venomous hunter, preying on marine worms in its Indo-Pacific habitat.
