Description
Reishia clavigera is a species of predatory marine snail, commonly known as the Club-shaped rock shell. It features a robust, turbinate to broadly conical shell with a moderately low spire and a large body whorl. The shell surface is distinctly sculptured with strong axial ribs and spiral cords, which often intersect to form prominent nodules or tubercles, especially on the shoulders of the whorls. Its coloration typically consists of dark brown to blackish patches and spiral bands on a lighter greenish-grey or yellowish-brown background, creating a mottled or checkered appearance. This species is a common inhabitant of rocky intertidal zones.
