Description
A medium to large-sized, heavy cone shell with a distinctive pattern. The shell is conical in shape with a relatively low spire. Its surface is generally smooth. The coloration consists of a creamy-white to pale yellow background overlaid with broad, irregular, dark reddish-brown to orange-brown axial streaks and spiral bands. A prominent, often irregular, white band is typically present around the mid-body, which is frequently speckled or blotched with brown markings. The aperture is narrow and extends the length of the shell.
