Description

A single valve of a bivalve mollusc, commonly known as Bruguier's carpet shell. The shell is oval to sub-quadrangular in shape, characterized by prominent concentric growth lines. The coloration is a mix of light and dark brown concentric bands, with a striking broad white transverse band running across the shell, perpendicular to the growth lines. The surface appears somewhat glossy.
