Description
Scabrotrophon macleani is a species of predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk belonging to the family Muricidae. Its shell is characterized by a fusiform shape, a high spire, and a prominent sculpture of strong axial ribs and spiral cords, often resulting in a nodulose or scabrous (rough) surface. The siphonal canal is moderately long and slightly recurved. This deep-water species is typically found in cold waters of the North Pacific.
