Description
A small to medium-sized, robust, turbinate to trochiform seashell with a low spire and a wide, somewhat flattened base. The surface is heavily sculptured with strong spiral cords and axial ribs that intersect to form prominent, rounded to blunt nodules or 'scales'. The shell exhibits a whitish or cream background color with irregular brown or reddish-brown axial markings, often concentrated between the nodules. The overall appearance is sturdy and nodular.
