A medium-sized, predatory marine gastropod shell characterized by its conical to biconical shape and a distinctive coronated spire, particularly on the early whorls. The shell exhibits a striking color pattern of white or cream with irregular reddish-brown to orange-brown axial streaks and blotches, often forming spiral bands, and prominent spiral rows of white dots. Like other cone snails, it possesses a venomous harpoon for subduing prey.
