Description

A large, fusiform marine gastropod shell, characterized by its elongated, spindle-like shape, tall spire, and smooth body whorl. The shell exhibits striking reddish-brown zigzag or flammulated patterns over a lighter yellowish-brown to orange-brown background. The aperture is long and narrow, with a pale, smooth interior. The siphonal canal is short. The specimen shown has some minor damage, including holes in the body whorl.
