Description
The shell of Callistocypraea nivosa is an elongated-ovate cowrie, characterized by its smooth, highly glossy surface. The dorsal side displays a rich yellowish-brown to tan background color, densely covered with numerous irregular, white or pale cream spots of varying sizes, giving it a 'snowy' or 'frosted' appearance. The ventral side (base and margins) is typically lighter, often cream to off-white. The aperture is narrow and lined with fine teeth, typical of the Cypraeidae family.
