Description
Conus bayeri is a species of predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Conidae. Its shell is characterized by an elongate-conical shape with a moderately elevated, stepped spire. The body whorl is generally smooth, sometimes with faint spiral grooves towards the base. The shell exhibits a white to cream background coloration adorned with distinctive spiral rows of orange-brown dots or dashes, which can sometimes coalesce into axial flames. This deep-water species is known for its elegant form and subtle patterning.
