Description

The Flat Abalone is a species of marine gastropod mollusk known for its relatively flattened, oval shell. The exterior is typically reddish-brown to orange-brown, often with iridescent green or blue patches, and features distinct concentric growth lines and less prominent radial ribbing. A row of open respiratory pores is characteristic along the left margin of the shell. The interior is highly iridescent, displaying a pearly nacre.
