Description
The Large Necklace Shell is a species of predatory sea snail, characterized by its smooth, globular shell and an exceptionally large, fleshy foot that can almost entirely envelop the shell when the animal is active. It is often found partially buried in sandy substrates, using its expansive foot for locomotion and burrowing. The soft body is typically translucent and pale, as seen in the image, with two prominent tentacles.
