Description
A bivalve mollusc shell, typically ovate to subtrigonal in shape, with a smooth, glossy surface and fine concentric growth lines. The exterior coloration is often purplish-pink to reddish-brown, sometimes with lighter bands, and a darker umbo. The image shows two such shells, likely a pair, resting on dark sand, indicative of a coastal or intertidal environment.
