Description

A medium-sized, pale-colored predatory sea snail shell, characterized by its elaborate and 'monstrous' sculpture. The shell is off-white to pale cream, with prominent, frilly or winged axial varices and distinctive tubular spines or projections. The spire is moderately elevated, and the siphonal canal is relatively long and tubular. The specimen in the image appears to be beach-worn, showing the characteristic morphology of the species.
