Description
A medium-sized, trochiform marine gastropod shell, characterized by a heavily nodulose (knobby) spire and a prominent, flattened, spiny keel or periphery. The overall shape is conical with a relatively flat base. The exterior surface is often rough and mottled with various shades. The aperture is brilliantly nacreous, displaying vibrant pink and purple hues, especially on the columella and inner lip, and often features a distinct spiraling pattern on the base.
