Description

A small to medium-sized marine gastropod shell, characterized by its elongated, fusiform shape and high, turreted spire. The shell exhibits prominent sculpture consisting of strong axial ribs crossed by spiral cords, creating a cancellate or nodulose texture, particularly on the spire. The axial ribs often appear somewhat frilly or lamellar. The aperture is ovate with a thickened, frilly outer lip that bears internal denticles. A distinct, moderately long siphonal canal is present, which is slightly recurved. The shell color is typically off-white to creamy white, often with yellowish-brown or orange tints on the ribs and spire, and sometimes faint bluish-grey undertones on the body whorl.
