Description

A small to medium-sized marine gastropod, characterized by its fusiform shell shape with a prominent spire and a distinct siphonal canal. The shell surface is typically sculptured with strong axial ribs and spiral cords, giving it a somewhat rough or nodulose texture. The coloration is generally light yellowish-brown to off-white, often with a thin, brownish periostracum or algal coating. The aperture is ovate with a thin, white outer lip, and a yellowish-orange operculum is visible within. This species is a predatory snail adapted to cold, deep marine environments.
