Description

A medium-sized, spiny marine gastropod shell, characterized by its elongated, fusiform shape and prominent, frilly varices adorned with sharp, hollow spines. The shell exhibits a light cream to yellowish-brown background color, often highlighted by reddish-brown spiral bands or streaks, particularly on the varices and ribs. The aperture is typically ovate, with a denticulate outer lip and a smooth columella, and the interior of the aperture is often a pale lavender or purplish hue. It possesses a long, straight siphonal canal, also bearing spines.
