Description

Livonia roadnightae, commonly known as Roadnight's Volute, is a large and heavy marine gastropod shell. It features an ovate-fusiform shape with a moderately elevated, somewhat stepped spire culminating in a prominent, smooth, and bulbous protoconch. The body whorl is large and inflated, leading to a wide aperture. The shell surface is typically smooth and glossy, often displaying fine growth lines. Its coloration is predominantly creamy white to pale yellowish-brown, adorned with irregular, faint brown or tan axial streaks and blotches, particularly noticeable on the body whorl. The columella typically possesses strong, oblique folds, though these are not visible in the provided image.
